Close to Home

I am forsaking "American Idol" tonight to watch a staggering documentary on PBS's Frontline called "The Suicide Tourist." It's shocking and difficult to watch--the issue of assisted suicide in our country is not a comfortable topic. Having personally dealt with this (both the frustration of the patient struggling with a debilitating terminal illness and the legalities surrounding the ability of the patient to make an end of life decision for themselves), it's devastating.
