I am an avowed monarchist. I have memorized the English monarchist history from the time of King Egbert of Wessex (7th century) to current day. I blame my Mother (a Brit, who was inordinately proud of British domination and rule). My favorite period has always been the 19th century--the Victorian era.I have read more than a mere mortal would about the Victorian era in the British Isles. I know more details than a historian. And on a holiday day off in New York, what would a girl like me do? Why, go off and enjoy a brunch of mimosas and walnut banana pancakes and then attend a viewing of "The Young Victoria" at the theatres at Lincoln Centre.
Historically accurate, it more than met expectations.

Great! Another US Monarchist. Thanks for speaking up.
I take it you're not talking about the pretty butterflies, eh? The ones that invade Mexico every winter?
A better question is if you can draw the family trees of all the monarchs and how they're all inter-related now. Well, minus the invasions from France and Holland.
Joe, you're brilliant. ;)
Enough Pledge and I shine like the cherry wood dining room table!
