Angelina in Da House

I came home last night to a slip of paper insinuated under the door. It was from Columbia Pictures. The filming of "Salt" with Angelina Jolie is now underway.

The location experts have selected an apartment for the interior shooting--apartment 4E to be exact. 4E is a spacious, vacant space with a balcony. I live in apartment 4A...which is located conveniently down the hall from cinema central.

The notice from Columbia Pictures indicated that filming in the apartment and in our lobby would officially start next Tuesday. There was a laundry list of protocols that we would need to observe along with apologies for the inconvenience this would cause us. Oh, bring it on.

When I left for work early this morning, I waited for the elevator which is just adjacent to Apartment 4E. The door to apartment 4E was propped open and inside, crews were busy outfitting the empty apartment for next week. I can't help my own curiosity--I set down my briefcase and making sure the coast was clear, I wandered in. The crews had started to outfit the place with rather snazzy furniture pieces and lighting. Scattered amongst these bits were empty Dunkin' Donuts coffee cups, coolers and power tools. I heard people conversing in another room, so I backed out in stealth fashion but I was definitely intrigued at the continued progress. I'll bring my camera tomorrow.

I predict I'm taking a day off next week.
