I discovered that there is an upside to the recession; Simply, it's reduced commuter traffic on the roads. I've enjoyed rather unhampered commutes home for the last few weeks and the ride home tonight came close to my best commute time ever: 38 minutes. Granted, I was doing 70 mph on an uncluttered roadway, but regardless, this doesn't suck.Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Welcome to Michigan, over the last 8 years. I could tell when K-Mart closed their headquarters down the road from my office when it shaved 10 minutes off my 3 mile drive home (assuming I left right at 5).
Although opening day of firearm deer hunting season is still the most congestion-free day in the area. :)
Good to note about opening day, Joe! I should check the schedules in the Northeast!
Now this is what I call a positive attitude... :)
Just found your blog for the first time today and I'm really enjoying reading your content... you have a knack for making everyday things really interesting and readable.
