Mama Wants

Under the category of inexplicable longing, I have a sick hankering for the new YSL boots for Spring. They are utterly impractical. They are likely unstable when navigating copious pedestrian traffic in Manhattan. Yet, they are so incredibly fabulous that I think I may have to splurge on a pair. They're a skeletal boot atop a 3-1/2 inch heel. Inspired genius and the model in metallic silver looks right up my alley. Call it a disease. You're right. It'll look perfect with a slim silver clutch.

I can't wait for Spring.

Honey, if fashion is a disease, then you're a carrier. And I say spread the sickness!

They scream dominatrix. Is that why you like 'em? :)

Girl, in your description of them you left out one adjective: ugly! I'm sorry, I'm all about the fashion but those kind of suck.

Hugs and kisses!!! ;-)

I would greatly enjoy this post re-done from Ralph's point of view--with color commentary from Joan all the better!

Clearly the model is not standing on that foot or else her toes would be sticking out of the holes. Think I'd rather go barefoot.

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but there's something about this totally inpractical shoe that makes me just go "Yeah, baby!"

To Mary's point, I can also hear my mother saying, "But what would you wear it with?"

..and Ralph (my dad) would call it "a hooker shoe." He was rather conventional.

DIY toe bondage. Start small.
