Food Glorious Food

The one thing I love most about San Francisco (besides the proximity to some truly fine wineries--note Morewines' recommendations on these posts) is the excellent regional cuisine. Since moving to New York, I had hankered for some decent Mexican and Thai food. Today, I had both.

At lunch, I sampled a fiery Pad Thai. My eyes bled with its heat. It was marvelous. At dinner, a visit to the Mission district resulted in a satisfying plate of Mexican specialties including a cilantro heavy salsa and a sublime chile relano. Chased with a bottle of Dos Equis, I was in heaven.

Now if I can only squeeze in a slice of Amici's garlic chicken pizza before I head back East, I shall be most satisfied.

Well, you better squeeze some good wine in as well. Hope you are going
to visit some wineries and I don't
mean Napa.
