Women never talk about it much but I'm convinced we fantasize as much about sex as men do. I admire men for their forthright approach to discussing it. And why not? It's a perfectly natural thing; a part of our integral chemistry. I love to hear men discuss sexual fantasies. It's rough and nasty and exciting. Women tend to build in layers of romanticism, love and a storyline. You have to credit our sex for the amount of work in creating a scenario, dispensing with illogical barriers and working around implausible circumstances. That does take a particularly admirable creativity. (Please don't send me hate mail for this wild sweeping generalization. I think for the most part it's true but I'm happy to offer an errata if enough people protest).
Personally, I used to work up elaborate details of a scenario and drag the fantasy process out so that the consummation of the act that stirred the scenario in the first place was an after thought. Good Lord. That soon went. Who's got time?
I'm no longer the wide eyed romantic. My time is limited so let's get to the main event. In my imagination, these are wildly inappropriate and dangerous scenarios, usually taking place in public. Sometimes it's with people I know and sometimes with someone I see on the street or on the subway. There is something oddly delicious in the indulgence of a sexual fantasy while sitting on the subway on the way to work. I'm sure I'm not the only one killing time in such a pleasant manner. I'll have to chalk it up to estrogen surges.
Of course I'm not the only one saying this, so let's hear from the rest of you girls. And note to Julie: The scenarios I meant here were not related to masturbation (well, I guess they could be) but rather little mental sidelines that get you through those tedious or quiet patches of your day. I think about sex often yet I'm rarely in a position to do anything about it. Still, I've got your errata right here if you wish and an open invite to discuss sex anytime!

AHEM! Errata!
Are we talking masturbation fantasies or some other kind? You and I obviously haven't talked sex enough.
Hmm...you certainly got my attention with this one. I think we covered many of my fantasies in GC chat.
Which reminds me of something I read just yesterday at Taylor Hicks HQ. Someone wrote, "I miss Gray Charles. Well, kind of. He had some weird people in his chat with their own special 'porn'". I didn't think we were THAT bad!
Being a married woman who has sex more often than I'd like to (yeah-I said it!), my fantasies are more romantic than sexual. For instance, the guy actually LISTENS when I speak, he laughs at my jokes and cooks me dinner (with a chef's hat on. <---That was for Julie!) And oh yeah, he wouldn't mind having a threesome with Taylor. (Is that romantic?)
Aw screw CG--we conjured up some pretty nasty stuff in the chat. It was fun, no? I particularly remember someone giving some innocent blow by blow details (pardon the expression) on how to perform oral sex. Everyone adding their two cents on technique. No wonder why CG shut down. Ah, good times.
Anyway Caryl--thanks for the share (overshare?)--I'd love to elaborate but I live in fear that my nieces read this blog and well, I don't want to pay for the next ten years of their therapy.
