Poseurs

For reasons completely unknown to me, on all nights of the week (that would be a Friday night), my husband is glued to C-SPAN. I am watching the White House State Dinner Security Breach trial with the creepy wanna-be reality television couple who crashed the White House event recently. They have invoked the 5th Amendment every single time a question has been posed to them. This is practically farce to watch, yet watch I do.

The defendants are clearly ridiculous and silly people. The amount of governmental resources and governmental formality utilized in grilling them seems frivolous. As a taxpayer, I'd like to see my hard earned dollars go to better purposes. And now I hear Jim Hines, a representative from Bridgeport, CT, grill them for their position. My, but he is earnest, but this is serious theatre. I am ashamed that I am even watching this.

The defendants demure. I hope they go down like a stone.
