Oh, I do enjoy this event. I've enjoyed Oscar night as long as I've been conscious of television. It's an event. A happening. I enjoy the fashion, the drama, the upsets and the bad fashion faux pas (fewer and fewer these days, thanks to industry stylists--bah!). I expect Mickey Rourke and "Slumdog Millionaire" and Kate Winslet will prevail on the key awards; I do hope for a few surprises and a trip or two on exaggerated dress trains. Watching the pre-show, I am loving Amy Adams' red dress and Anne Hathaway's beautifully scalloped dress and lord, look at Kate Winslet--great look! The clothing choices will be mostly safe; let's hope Hugh Jackman as host will provide some subversion. Here we go.

Thank God you were actually excited about it. I just read two friends blogs who blasted the awards-geez-whatever happened to ooo-ing, aah-ing and just plain enjoying something fun! Thanks for actually writing a pleasant blog! ;)
I loved Hugh's hosting! He did a great job, and was surprised to see him singing through out most of it. I loved the Musicals Are Back performance with Beyonce. And my guess was for Sean Penn to win it. My only correct guess btw, other than Heath's take home, of course.
I totally missed the Oscars this year and I really do LOVE Hugh Jackman.
