For the past week I put aside noble and intellectual pursuits in order to indulge in copious online social networking. If abused, Facebook can become like crack. OK, it is like crack.
I have connected with current friends. I have connected with previous work homies. I have connected with childhood friends and social colleagues and former friends from my old Polish networks. And I have linked in with my online girl posse. It's addictive and it's fantastic.
Just this last weekend, I found (through an old high school friend) a man who was my maddest crush when I was age 14. We connected, we're now Facebook friends and who knew, he's some big muckity-muck in advertising in Manhattan. And damn, he's still awfully cute.
Like I said, people. Crack.

All I could think about was BW. Now I remember! Geez oh Pete.
I wish I had more time to write a comment, but I have to get back to FACEBOOK!!!!
Seriously, I knew I was in trouble last night when I was playing Sceabulous, chatting with Tom, Conor, Cathy AND Scott and trying to help Rosie (in the real world, of course) with her homework! And I lie, I knew I was in trouble way before that!
Oh well, we'll all be crack addicts together.
Well I guess I'll have to join the rest of you addicts. Look me up, I need more friends.
Karen: Send me a request--I'll be your friend!
