I was checking my e-mail tonight and saw this message from our co-op Board of Directors:
We have been contacted by Columbia Pictures, which is interested in using an apartment in our building, as well as the lobby and exterior of the building, as a location for a motion picture featuring Angelina Jolie. Would you be interested in making your apartment available for this project? Here is what we know so far:
They plan on 2 days of shooting in the apartment, plus 2 days of shooting using the lobby and exterior of the building. They are looking for a large apartment, preferably with a balcony. Because the apartment will be lit from outside, they are generally limited to the first 4 floors.
They will compensate both the co-op and the residents of the apartment. The schedule is for filming to occur over 4 days some time between late March and June of this year.
Once we know who is interested, we will follow up with Columbia, work with you and Columbia to negotiate the compensation, so we can decide whether this makes sense for the co-op, and you can decide if it makes sense for you. A letter from the Columbia location scout follows.
And so on.
I do have a nice size apartment on the 4th floor but alas, I don't have a balcony. But I'd earn years of bragging rights if I could say Angelina used my toilet.

Damn. Too bad you don't have a balcony.
Are you suggesting that Angelina Jolie poops?
How big could a balcony possibly be? I'ld volunteer anyway.
I'd suggest she probably doesn't poop because she doesn't eat, but I'd venture she wipes just the same.
Make sure it's not a sequel to Tomb Raider or Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Think of the damage. You'd be sweeping up bullet casings for months.
Wowza! (Yes, I actually said that). That's exciting! Peek around corners if they don't choose your apartment, take pictures, and sell them! You'd make killer money!
And also, about the KC ribs from your earlier post... You better tell me the next time you're in KC! I live just a couple of hours away, and it's sad, but I haven't had the honor of trying the delicious KC Ribs. Even though, they are advertised EVERYWHERE in Omaha, lol.
