I'm in my element.I'm at home. I have holiday music playing. Chocolate chip cookies and gingerbread are baking. I distributed the holiday tip bounty to the doormen, the porters, the handymen, the garage attendants, our dry cleaner and hairdressers and have been rewarded with effusive hugs and kisses. I am notoriously demonstrative so I enjoy the affection. I sent out 30% of my holiday cards, but I think the rest will have to wait until after Christmas. The Christmas tree is lit and our mantle is full of holiday cards. We've had a huge amount arrive this week so it's gratifying to know I wasn't the only one sending them out late.
Breaking with tradition, we agreed to go to Queens later this afternoon to celebrate a traditional Polish Wigilia with the Aunts and some local extended family. I expect that means lots of herring and possibly, a midnight Mass in Polish. We're staying overnight with Aunt Stella and celebrating a traditional Christmas meal the next day. This should well restore our East Coast familial bank. And there's always The Yule Log on TV on Christmas morning. That always makes the day for me.
Please enjoy your holiday.

Merry Christmas, C&W!
Merry Merry C&W !! Sounds like a wonderful Christmas. Cherish the memories. Now the Mass in Polish ... Well, sometimes it's actually better not to know what the Priest is saying in his Sermon. That's been my experience anyway. Hugs !!
Merry Christmas, C&W!!!!!! Hope your dreams come true! :-)
xoxoxo,

Merry Christmas! I'm almost there. We've sent Eddie the Elf on his way, cookies are out for Santa, glitter and oats for the reindeer, we've said our extended prayers and read the Christmas Carol. Now I'm going to have some egg nog, wrap the last of the packages and stuff stockings. Then I'll tuck in with my kerchief and cap.
Merry Christmas, gals. I hope your holiday celebrations were joyous!
SR and bluesgirl are here! Merry Christmas, all. I miss you guys!
