Tonight I had a two hour commute home. I was weary when I dragged into the house. Fang had already ordered some Japanese take out food. I plopped down on the couch. He had set the table with fresh dishes and flatware in anticipation of the delivery. And there on my pristine plate sat a beautifully lacquered box.
Oh, honey, I thought, I do not like sushi. I thought the box contained some nasty-ass California rolls. I was mistaken.
He nudged me to open the box and lying within was a multi-carat emerald and diamond pendant necklace and matching earrings. Oy. That was a shocker. He apologized for not delivering a Fry Daddy for our wedding anniversary. Would these baubles do instead?
Uh, yeah, I think they will. The man does surprise me sometimes.

Beautiful!
-signed,
a jealous fellow May baby.
Nice! Congratulations on your anniversary.
SQUEEEE! Nice to see you here!!It's been awhile since the chat days. Hope you're doing well.
She's alive! Hi, squee!
Totally gorgeous jewelry, CW. I remember a fabulous bag he gave you for some occasion (I think it was from him?). He's a good gift-giver.
Fang does do good gift, yes. He's incredibly generous. Oddly, while pleased at the thoughtfulness, I never expect it and part of me doesn't want it. I'm proud to be a low maintenance girl and fine jewelry (or handbags) is sort of lost on me. I tend towards flashier (read cheaper) hardware and no fuss garb.
Still, these are lovely pieces and the booty that Fang has bestowed on me over the years will defintely make my nieces rather happy girls when I die.
That Fang, he's a good man!!!
Booty or bounty? haha
Oh, I adore you, SR! You always make me laugh. I did mean booty, like pirate booty. And that's about all the booty I get these days.
