Ode to Fashion Week

It's that glorious time of the year, the time the tents raise high above Bryant Park and a multitude of reed-thin models sashay down runways wearing impossibly fabulous concoctions. Yes, people...it's Fashion Week in New York. Here's my humble homage.

A is for A-Line, this shape flatters all
B is for Boho, it lingers into Fall
C is for Country--the gentry with gams
D is for Derek, the brilliant gent Lam
E is for Easy, the style of dress
F is for Florals--it's feminine excess
G is for Green, we're planet aware
H is for Hardware on the shoes that we'll wear
I is for Irresistible, YSL's Follies sandal
J is for Jacobs, a fave fashion vandal
K is for Kilty, the new ankle boots
L is for Luxurious, who can refute?
M is for Metallics, the trench coat just rocks
N is for Narcisco and his sweet, sublime frocks
O is for the Oxford stacked heels
P is for Peplum and Plaid--such appeal
Q is for Quant and the revival of Mod
R is for Ruffles--a silhouette I applaud
S is for Superhero and power dressing
T is for T-straps, a weakness I'm confessing
U is for Ultraviolet and eggplant and plum
V is for Von Furstenberg, her wrap dresses--yum!
W is for Western, sharply sun kissed
X is for Xtra! and their best dressed list
Y is for Yves St. Laurent, God rest his soul
Z is for Zoe--that broad has some balls.
