Reunited

This afternoon I arrived in San Jose, California (which, I might add, has become a rather high brow little mecca of upscale chic--who knew?!). My colleagues (those who have been become deeply valued pals during this 13 month program) convened from all global points in this sleepy burg. There were hugs all around and chatty debate but the truth is, we haven't seen each other face to face in six months. Perhaps we are different people now. There was an ever-so-brief momentary awkwardness.

It took only a stiff margarita and a few minutes before we were all cuddling, gossiping and back to our old selves. We have a heady eight days of work ahead of us so I count on tonight to set the tone for our team unity. I think this evidence indicates we'll be just fine. Oh yes, I'm already sure of it.

The guy in pic 4, in the striped shirt, looks like my neighbor. CW, I'm so jealous. You have all the fun.

I just wrote on my blog about a margarita that knocked me on my ass. Be careful with those suckers, they're too tasty! Your colleagues may remember you for a table dance if you don't watch it!
