In a week, I am taking my first real vacation this year. My brother Marv and his wife MeiMei are meeting me in New York and we're jetting off for six days in the glorious Caribbean. We'll be staying in St. Thomas with a day trip to St. John. MeiMei goes for the shopping; Marv and I are sea creatures, and we'll plan our days around beach power lounging, body surfing and snorkeling.
I haven't had much occasion to wear a swimsuit this summer and it's too damned late to buy one in the shops here since most stores are already discounting Fall fashion. Still, the swimwear I have is a bit long in the tooth and not very interesting, so I went online to try and find a cache of bathing suits that might work for this trip. I know one should never buy swimwear online, so I decided to pick a selection of stuff that appealed to me. Once they arrive, I try them on and return what I don't want. Thus, I expect 10 swimsuits to arrive here in the early part of this week.
I picked a zebra bandeau top and bottom. A animal print halter and bottoms. A white beaded tank. A peacock blue wrapped waist one piece. A thin stripped tankini. A square neck purple tank. A flowered halter. A deep V black tank with tortoiseshell rings. A white racing style tankini. And a hot pink one piece with a mesh v-front and a low cut back.
Some of them should work just fine. All I need is a nice pair of heels that I can also snorkel in.
