New York is a pet friendly place and it should be--New Yorkers love and cherish their dogs. The streets are always populated by ardent owners leading their furry friends out, day and night. In this town, dogs have carte blanche to go nearly anywhere they wish. In some parts of Chelsea, dogs are allowed into stores, restaurants and cafes where fresh bowls of water and biscuits are made available for them. Unfortunately, the historic old cemetery near my home prohibits their entry onto its hallowed tree lined walkways; an action which prompted one owner to express his disdain (above). You gotta love it.Sunday, September 09, 2007
