Hollaback Girl tagged me and seven other blogger friends to participate in the following game. The fun part about this is that in turn, I get to pay it forward and tag eight of my friends to do the same about themselves. Please check at the end of this post for your name because in all likelihood I've probably tagged your ass.
Eight Things About Me
The Rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3.At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Here are my eight facts:
1. When listening to music, I instinctively clap, snap, tap and dance on 2 and 4.
2. I can fit my entire fist in my mouth. It's still a great party trick.
3. Outside of the day I was born, I've never been hospitalized, undergone surgery, broken a bone or had the flu.
4. My twin brother Martin and I are adopted (we came as a package deal).
5. I did my senior college dissertation on the origins of the English language and medieval literature, translating a cross section of Chaucer from the original Old English. Even my mother said it was a boring read.
6. I danced for seven years with a Polish folk dance troop. If cajoled, I could still execute an oberek, polka, waltz, mazur, Polonez, Kujawiak or Krakowiak.
7. The sight of someone hocking a particularly thick loogey can cause me to involuntary vomit (I think I just threw up in my mouth a little just typing this).
8. I've always baited my own hooks.

The answer is none! If she holds true to form, just bet her she can't do it....
1. I’m so musically illiterate that I have no idea what it means to instinctively snap or clap on 2 and 4.
2. As a dyslexic, those “type the letters you see above” security gizmos really throw me for a loop.
3. I’ve ridden my bike in 13 out of the 20 largest metropolitan areas in the US.
4. From time to time I will roll the windows down and blast Mexican music from the radio during rush hour traffic for no other reason than I like the way the station identification sounds.
5. I like coffee ice cream with caramel and pecans, you can throw in some hot fudge if you must.
6. Even though I lived within a 3 hour drive of the Mexican border for 15 years, the one and only time I’ve left the country I went to Canada.
7. The pet peeve that will get the best of me the fastest is adults that act as if taking turns and following the rules don’t apply to them.
8. I’m most always attracted to the most involved, intricate or tedious option.
I was going to play along, but even I was bored by the time I got to #6! The most interesting things about me are actually about my family members!
1. My Uncle is a retired 4-star General. The youngest, ever.(You can only get the fifth star when the country's at war. We weren't at the time.
2. My grandmother found out she was married to a bigamist after the birth of their first child. The other wife dropped by and told her.
I don't even have a good story about the spelling of my name (pronounced Carol). My Mom saw it somewhere and liked it. The end.
*sigh*
