I apologize to my few readers, if they're still out there, for the past few days thoughtless, if not suck-worthy, posts. Alas, the days have been long and my old blue eyes weary. Tonight will be no exception.
Jewels and I had an easy song-filled road trip north, the highlight being our version of The Carpenter's "Merry Christmas, Darling" which likely had the late Ms. Carpenter spinning in her grave (Our apologies, madam). It was pleasant to watch the ebbing sun over the sea and see the brush covered hills blend effortlessly into the sky when the dark descended. And the I watched a mighty moon rise over the hills. It's full tonight.
There's something about a full moon that makes my heart ache. I know they say the lunar effects of the moon do cause odd emotions in man, but the clarity of its surface tonight and the generous beams it radiated fixated me. And it makes me feel lonely and longing, for what I can't say.
I won''t be allowed to luxuriate in this emotion, as much as I'd like to. I filled Jewels' head with the visions of the veal chops they serve at Prego and well, I need to deliver. All we've both had today is half a bagel, five cups of coffee and 40 Listerine breath strips, so dinner is in order.
And maybe a little moon gazing.

We love your descriptions of nature and singalongs. We just comment more when there's waxing or presidential lust on the agenda.
