I am family saturated. In the last two days, I have more than made up for any hard feelings for my defection for the East Coast. Multiple mitzvahs have been performed. Goodwill abounds and while the warm fuzzies of familial togetherness are still in the air, I shall steal away under the cover of darkness and head back to Manhattan.

It was a nice visit, although the basenji and I wrestled for domination of the bed's geography last night and I lost when he growled and snapped at me when I tried to move him. I don't really mind sleeping horizontally. Refreshing, save my head occasionally falling backwards off the edge of the bed.

So we're off for some Salvadoran food in the Mission district. Mei Mei has a hankering for papusas. I'll pack it up, catch a few hours and drag my sorry ass to the airport at the buttcrack of dawn (to borrow Hollaback Girl's expression). It's been fun but I miss my work homies from West 19th Street. And well, I need to get back to my kickboxing class.

I'll leave you with a very funny P.S. on an email I received from Todor today. He approved my post highlighting our meal, but felt I focused too much on the highbrow aspects of our relationship. It's true--we often do digress into popular culture trash, which he was thoughtful enough to touch on here.

P.S. Some of the things we did not have time to discuss (which are, however,
of fair importance and prurient public interest) are: the TomKat "wedding";
B. Spears showing off her vagina (and other hairy body parts best left
covered) to the media; Kevin Federline's return to the World Wrestling
Association hoping that his wrestling skills (which are surely better than
his rapping) will help him pay for his divorce lawyers; Jude Law finally
being single; Kramer's evident association with dubious Ku-Klux-Klan's
principles; Mel Gibson's Jew-phobia, the alleged lesbian affair b/n Paris
Hilton and B. Spears, L. Lohan's rehab; Jennifer Garner's obesity; et al.
You wanna revise your blog assessment of my affiliation with "high culture'
now?

Talk to y'all back in Gotham.
